As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I supported undergraduate students in developing a strong understanding of foundational public health concepts. I taught classes, led exam review sessions, held office hours, and provided guidance to help students understand course material and prepare for assessments.
My approach emphasized clear explanations, practical examples, and an inclusive learning environment where students felt comfortable asking questions. I encouraged students to connect course concepts to real-world public health issues and build confidence in their learning.
I help students connect public health concepts to everyday situations: how social conditions influence health, why programs use different theories, and how theory can guide a health promotion strategy.
Through examples and guided discussion, I encourage students to explain their reasoning and apply what they learn to practical scenarios.
